  • Adele denies five year break

    Adele denies five year break

Adele has denied she’s taking a five-year break from her music career following scooping six Grammy awards.

It has been reported the British singer was taking “four or five years” off to spend more time with her loved ones.

"Five years? More like five days!" Adele wrote on her blog.

While the Rolling in the Deep singer isn’t taking a long-term break from singing, she is still taking things slowly following throat surgery last year.

Adele made her comeback performance at this weekend’s Grammy award ceremony, following a break from performing to rest her throat. But her tour manager Jonathan Dickins says he plans to “ease” Adele into performing again.

"I'm gonna let her enjoy this moment and not drive her mad,” he told Billboard. We'll sit down and work out what we're doing going forward."

Adele’s next big performance will be at the BRIT Awards ceremony in London later this month. She is nominated for three awards.

  • Katy Perry to feature in 3D movie?

Katy Perry to feature in 3D movie?

Katy Perry’s colourful live shows could feature in a 3D movie, it’s been reported.

The pop princess’ management are said to be in talks with Paramount and Imagine Entertainment about making a 3D documentary about Perry.

Paramount hope it will follow the success of their previous release ‘Justin Bieber: Never Say Never’, which - after making $73 million - holds the domestic box office record for a concert movie.

But 3D isn’t the only medium Katy is taking over; it was recently revealed the singer will be the star of a new computer game. Perry will feature in a special Collector’s Edition of ‘The Sims 3 Showtime’ game.

Perry said: "I love how you're able to play out different stories through your Sims characters - giving them different careers and watching them succeed.

“It's cool to see the Sims' stage performances in ‘The Sims 3 Showtime’ decked out just like my California Dreams Tour - even my cotton candy video screens are in there! I always like to think of myself as a cartoon, and now I'm a Sim!"

‘The Sims 3 Showtime’ launches in March.

Adding: “I am excited to follow the journey of our aspiring contestants and see how their individuality influences their efforts during the course of the show.”

The show will air in the UK in the summer. No word yet on whether it will be screened in the US.

Speaking about the album, he said: "This is the first project where I'm talking about things that I've experienced before that I'm not necessarily experiencing now 'cause I'm not doing a whole lot of partying. I do a little bit but not a lot, nothing like when I was in that life."
